Finding The Perfect Clothing Store

Are you looking for the perfect clothing store? One that will fit your every sense of style? Well the truth is, there isn't one. As with most stores, clothing stores now cater to a specific niche. They're all out there. Everything from formal to punk. I used to hate going to the mall, but in any decent sized mall you will likely find a clothing store for every outfit you need.

My sisters and I decided to make a trip to the Mall of America. During the trip one of my sisters stated that she was interested in finding a clothing store that specializes in children’s clothes. My other sister and I said that we would like to do some shopping to purchase something for ourselves as well as our husbands. When we arrived at the mall we found a directory. There was a listing for a clothing store for every apparel item anyone could want.

We started at a clothing store for children’s apparel. My sister found several items for her grandchildren. Next to the children’s store was a coffee bar where we had wonderful coffee and Danish. Then it was off to the next clothing store.

According to the directory the store I was interested in was up one flight of stairs from the coffee bar. At this clothing store I found a very unique shirt for the summer. We were very pleased with the prices and how easy it was to find the stores that we were interested in.

Our next stop was a great store that specialized in golfing apparel. We each found something for our husband’s, so that they would have a memento of our shopping trip also. This seemed like a fitting purchase considering they were golfing together as we shopped.

My oldest sister still wanted to find a clothing store that handled swimwear. She was getting ready to go on a cruise and wanted a swimsuit with a matching cover up. We found a shop that handled swimwear; however it was geared for young girls. The manager of the swimwear shop suggested we check another clothing store on the third level of the mall. She stated the store she was directing us to specialize in cruise wear. My sister was delighted with the selection in this clothing store. They had several swimsuits and cover ups for her to choose from and also evening wear. This specialty store was more expensive than the others we had been in, but the quality of the apparel seemed worth the additional cost.

Next to the specialty store with the cruise wear we found another directory to help us locate a restaurant to eat lunch at. We found a great restaurant that was located next to an accessory store that we were interested in looking at. In this store we each found jewelry that complimented the clothing we had purchased earlier.

Admittedly, following our trip we came home exhausted. But certainly it could have been worse. What helped us was knowing what we were looking for before we entered the mall. Then going straight to the directory, and asking a few questions along the way. We know that if we had gone in blind we'd have never made it. We'd have collapsed right there, and would have left without everything we needed.

Our trip to the Mall of America was a great deal of fun. We each found a clothing store that fit our taste and budget. We did not have time or energy to check out the hundreds of other stores that are in the mall. We agreed that our next trip we would concentrate on shopping in the specialty shops rather than our favorite clothing store.

Yes that means we will be making another trip. It's not something I'd want to do every week or even every month. In between, if I need something, I'll shop online. Believe it or not the selection is better and you don't have to walk for miles to get to another clothing store.

Certainly the advantages to shopping clothing stores online are many. But you lose the ability to try things on. And you also lose the great feeling of spending the day with people you enjoy.
